K2M performed a comprehensive ASHRAE Level II energy and water audit and a detailed engineering and economic report that identified energy/water conservation measures in several buildings at Glenn Research Center. K2M developed as-built whole building energy models for each of the buildings and calibrated based on actual utility data to serve as a baseline for modeling various energy conservation measures (ECMs) in a holistic fashion without double counting savings while leveraging synergies between ECMs. The energy audit identified $633,000 in annual utility savings with a 48% energy cost reduction and an estimated first cost of $5.6 million.
