In tandem with its engineering partner, K2M provided labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, software, hardware, and equipment necessary to perform facility condition assessment program services at various facilities within the Facilities Engineering Command (FEC) Washington, DC region. Inventory and facility assessments included on-site surveying of capital facilities by architectural and electrical/mechanical engineers in the evaluations of more than 10 million square feet of government facilities, which includes approximately 300 assets with more than 6,000 building sub-systems at six sites throughout the Washington, DC area. The team has worked at sites such as the Washington Naval Yard, Washington, DC; Joint Base at Bolling (JBAB), Anacostia, MD; U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD; and Bethesda Naval Facility, MD. The K2M staff in conjunction with our partners were responsible for assessing capital improvements within these facilities, inventorying facility systems and their condition, verifying MAXIMO ICAP data, and amending the Navy’s comprehensive database for each asset.
